First Socks

Socks! This is my first pair finished a few months ago when there was still snow outside, so I can confirm that they are quite cozy.

For this project, I used a basic pattern from Red Heart, worked top down. Overall, pretty happy with my first attempt. I actually bought nine skeins of this yarn in the same colorway (sale got me)... Welp. Time to make more socks?

What I used:
Pattern: Self-Striping Knit Socks #LW1619 by Red Heart Design Team
Yarn: Premier Wool Free Sock and Stripes Yarn (93% Acrylic, 7% PBT; 235 yards/50 grams per skein) in Grand Canyon (approximately 1.5 skeins)
Needles: US 2 (2.75 mm) DPNs

Lemony Scallops

I know, I know. It's been a few months since I last posted... And yes, I'm modeling a beanie in the middle of summer.

If you follow me on Instagram, you may remember this picture (below) that I shared a while back when I got City Tweed yarn from Knit Picks in Lemon Curd (muted gold), Orca (medium gray), Plush (lavender), and Brocade (royal purple). I wish I had ordered more skeins because this yarn is soft and cozy! It also has a nice sheen to it.

So more about the beanie...
