Slow Sundays are the Best Sundays

I'd been out with an awful cold the past few days and just started feeling better, so I'm taking things slow to ease back into the workflow. Also, I'm thankful to smell and taste things again! This morning I made a simple pork sung (shredded dried pork) sandwich that I'd been craving all week. If you've never had pork sung, you are missing out. Seriously, it's great on its own and works as a delicious topping for congee, rice, and buns as well. It's available at most Chinese grocery stores, though I was happily surprised to find a large container of it at Costco.

(I added an over-easy fried egg and topped everything with a generous amount of cayenne pepper.)

And in other news, I'm casting on my first knit sweater today in Knit Picks Gloss Fingering yarn. I'm keeping my fingers crossed that it will turn out like the picture in the pattern... Will write about this more once I make some progress.

Happy Sunday, readers.
